1 July 2010 commencement date – awareness-raising tools for the public and non-government organisations

The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act) came into effect on 1 July 2010.

The following brochure provides a short summary of the changes. Community organisations wishing to display this brochure in their offices may contact us on free call 1800 INFOCOM (1800 463 626).

The OIC will continue to provide tools for the public and NGOs to ensure they are prepared for the commencement of the new legislation.
